NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:

Attention all NHS members, we will be holding elections for next year’s officers at today’s meeting, which will be held immediately after school in the library. Please be there to hear the speeches and vote for the junior candidates!

SENIOR COUNCIL:

Juniors voting for Senior Council President has been postponed until the week of May 21st-25th due to AP testing this week and there being no announcements read aloud over the PA system. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Caceres in room 323.

DEBATE:

Want to be ready for Fall debate competition? A special series of classes are going to be held on Thursdays in room 138. Attendants will be instructed in Congressional Debate by National Champion Genevieve Cox. Please take advantage of this unique opportunity.

RAY ATHLETICS:

If you plan on trying out for any sports at Ray next year, Physicals are now being accepted. Come by and get a flyer for $5 off at Promptu Clinics when you get your exam. The district has changed policy and now EVERYONE WILL NEED A PHYSICAL EVERY YEAR. In addition, Rankone forms are now available to complete online. Stop by and get an instruction sheet if needed.

RAY ATHLETIC TRAINING:

Ray athletic Training will be hosting a camp for anybody interested in becoming an athletic trainer for the 2018-2019 school year. Stop by and get your flyer to sign up.

LUCHA LIBROS! BOOK GIVEAWAY:

This Saturday there will be a Lucha Libros! Book Giveaway from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Miller High School gym. The hard-cover, high quality children’s and young adult books will be given away free of cost to those in attendance. CCISD employees will receive 25 books upon presentation of their badge, and parents/guardians will receive 5 books per child. The sponsoring organizations are looking for volunteers to help unpack and distribute books, so if you need community service hours or simply want an opportunity to help promote literacy in our community, please see Mrs. Vasquez in room 114 for more information.
