Students from the Ray Speech and Debate Team spent their past weekend in El Campo at the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) Gulf Coast National Qualifier.  A record 13 students from Ray qualified for the National Tournament based on their performance in El Campo!  Ray was awarded Top Congress Team, Top Debate Team, and Top Overall Team honors! Qualifying students will be heading to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in June to compete in Nationals.  According to the NSDA website, https://www.speechanddebate.org/publications-newsletters/, over 7,000 attendees will be flocking to Florida for the Nationals.
