In honor of the new Bollywood Exhibit at the South Texas Asian Cultures Museum, the Museum held a Bollywood Night on September 8, 2018. The event had many different things representing India. There was a lot of Indian food and dancing. Students from a Texas university came and played drums. There were people dancing to classical music and others teaching everyone how to do a Bollywood dance. One of the many dancers included Roopa Bindingnavele, a Freshman at Ray High School. Several different Indian restaurants from around Corpus Christi came to the event and were selling food. Another stand was selling candy, drinks, and snacks from India! There were many people from around the city who came and got to enjoy Indian food, drinks and dance, and everyone who didn’t come this year should come next year!
