How Farming Practices Degrade Air Quality

Agricultural fires dot Mexico and the Yucatan peninsula. Carried by northerly winds, these fires have brought a haze over Corpus Christi. The fires are deliberately lit every year before the growing season to bring nutrients back into the soil for new crops to inhabit.
With the enriched soil, also comes the air pollution that lines Mexico and travels upward toward the United States.
