National Sock Day

National+Sock+Day

Today, National Sock Day, recognizes one of the most hardworking teams ever: socks. Their teamwork and commitment through the adversity of smelly feet, laundry machines, and the occasional dog chew is truly tremendous. Their hard work also positively impacts our feet! According to the Sutherland Podiatry Centre, socks are important, especially when wearing close-toed shoes. Socks provide your feet with a protective layer between your foot and your shoe (easing blisters), moisture control (as feet release about a cup of moisture a day), and comfort (the world’s most expensive and supposedly comfortable sock is $1,000). The world’s most expensive sock literally used to be reserved only for royalty! Happy National Sock Day!
