On November 18, a scholastic chess tournament for grades K-12, as well as an open section for adults, will be held at the Spirit Life Learning Center, 925 N.A.S Dr. The tournament consists of 5 rounds, where you will be paired with an opponent from the same section. Individual trophies will be awarded to the top 3 players in each section, and team trophies will be given to the top 3 teams (a team requires at least two players from the same school). Side Note: To participate, you must be a member of the United States Chess Federation (USCF). If you’re not already a member, you can pay $40 to join, which will enable you to participate in this and future USCF tournaments.
