Tragedy struck this week down the street from Ray High School when a one-year-old girl was killed in a fatal traffic accident. Police say that on January 15th, 2019 a man driving a pickup truck collided with a car at the intersection of Staples and Baldwin.  The child, who was in the car, was taken to the hospital and later died of her injuries. Police have yet to determine who is at fault for the collision, and as of yet no arrests have been made in relation to the incident. Unfortunately, a 28-year-old man named Diego Rivera was also killed in the collision. Let’s all hope that the families of the victims can stay strong during this horrific experience.
