Senior students choose their favorite teacher

Amanda Hope

Lynn Bridges was voted the Ray Texan Seniors’ favorite teacher. She has been at Ray since the 1980’s and is still melting students’ hearts today. She may be retiring this year, but after 36 years as an educator she has touched the hearts of many students who have been fortunate enough to have her as a teacher. Even alumni get happy when they hear her name.

“Ms. Bridges is my favorite teacher because out of all my teachers she actually cares and as long as you put in effort in her class she will put effort for you. She sees the good in everyone and I can really go to her for school work, and personal things,”

Alana Ramos (12) said.

“Ms. Bridges, you’re the heart of the classroom. You are always there to help and listen to all my problems. You are really great. Thanks for everything,” Nicole Longoria (12) said.

What teachers don’t realize is that behind the teaching, they are impacting students’ lives; Ms. Bridges has made the largest impact on the seniors whom she has taught. Ms. Bridges is retiring this year after dedicating her life to education and helping students succeed in school.
