Sophomores wear blue at the pep rally, the spirit day theme for this week’s pep rally was ‘under the sea’ with students encouraged to wear blue.

Ray Texan Varsity Football walk into the gym to kick off the Pep Rally. The Pep Rally was mainly held to build excitement for the Football game that evening against the Laredo Nixon Mustangs, which they lost 17-14.

As tradition, two students from each grade level participate in the pep rally game, which for this week was human ring toss. The senior representatives, Mascots Tex and Mary Lou, took the win early in the game.

During the skit, RHS students and Mascot Tex use kung fu to save Mary Lou from the Nixon Mustangs, with Carl Douglas’ “Kung Fu Fighting” playing in the background.
