Our school year is about to start, and with it comes many Texan Traditions that you won’t want to miss! This year, Texan Roundup will be held on August 7th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Texan Roundup has been a tradition for many years, and it’s a wonderful way for new students and old students alike to find clubs that they want to join for the duration of the school year. The Texan Times will have a table at Texan Roundup, so if you’re interested in joining the newspaper club, come and find us! Texan Trail will be held the day after on August 8th from 5:00-6:30 pm, during which students who don’t have their schedules can pick up, and everyone is welcome to walk their schedules that they will follow during the school year. However, the day doesn’t end there, because directly following Texan Trail is Texan Tailgate, a tradition where families can have a picnic on the field and enjoy the campus before the school year begins. All three of these activities are open to all students, and it’s highly encouraged by the Ray High School Staff that you attend the ones you feel would have an impact on your year.
