Our Ocean Bowl team competed last weekend on February 1st in Galveston, TX for the opportunity to go to the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) competition, and after competing with teams from around Texas (and one from Arkansas), a grueling set of questions that took teamwork and a LOT of brainpower, and some wonderful cookies baked by Ms. Hamilton herself, we competed in the final round, after which we won the Regional Champion Title! This is the second year the WB Ray High School has competed in Ocean Bowl, and the second year we have advanced to nationals! The team deserves a huge congratulations, and we wish them luck in the national competition in May!
