Today is World Pharmacists Day! World Pharmacists Day marks the day that the International Pharmaceutical Federation was founded. The International Pharmaceutical Federation works in conjunction with the World Health Organization and helped end the Coronavirus Pandemic. Additionally, the International Pharmaceutical Federation helps people by ensuring that pharmacists have a safe supply chain and medications are used responsibly.
However, World Pharmacists Day is about more than just the international organization that supports pharmacists; it’s about the pharmacists themselves. Pharmacists work hard to get patients the medications they need to get better, and their hard work begins with a five-to-six-year degree along with 1,500 hours of internship. Their work includes not only the administration of prescriptions, but the storage, records, and interpretations as well.
