Corpus Christi Youth Orchestra Concert!
December 6, 2022
Last night was the Corpus Christi Area Youth Orchestra Concert! Although it was a Monday, it was very merry. The holiday cheer shone through with all of the winter-themed songs of the Cello Choir, Sinfonietta Orchestra, String Quartet, Corpus Christi Area Youth Orchestra, and the Corpus Christi Area Youth Symphony Orchestra!
The Corpus Christi Area Youth Orchestra is an educational branch of the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra and provides free opportunities for elementary, middle, and high school students to practice and perform in an orchestra. Directed by Dr. Jose Flores (with help from Assistant Director Melissa Melendez and Cello Choir Conductor Dr. Carrie Pierce), the Youth Orchestra has been providing free music education for over 20 years.
We had the honor of having ___ W. B. Ray High School students in the youth orchestra this year! Their names and instruments are listed below.
The next concert of the Corpus Christi Area Youth Orchestra will be next semester, and the next performance of the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra is to be this Saturday, December 10th!
