In week 7 of the 25-26 football season, the Ray Texans came out on top 35-17 against the King Mustangs, pushing the Texans’ district record to 1-1.
This week, the Texans are looking to take on the 3-4 Moody Trojans. With the Trojan offense leaning heavily on its run game, the Texan Defense will be working on blitzing the Line, and hoping to make some big stops at or around the line of scrimmage.
“We are looking for another shutout,” said DB Nicoli Hill-Zaanoni.
Offensively, the Texans are going to keep doing what they have been doing, using running back Brian McCullum as well as Receiver Huzefa Ullah to make some big plays.
“We are gonna come out with the same intensity, and are hoping for the same outcome as last year,” said Ullah.
This will be the 11th time the Texans and Trojans have played each other since their first matchup in 2016. Last year, the Texans were barely able to sneak away with a 23-21 win over the Trojans. This year, the Texans are coming in with an intensity that will hopefully result in a Homecoming Victory and good momentum going into the last two weeks of the regular season.
