Congratulations to Ray Students Advancing to State in Science Fair

The Valero Energy Foundation and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Hosted the Coastal Bend Regional Science Fair February 14-16, 2019. The Science Fair was open to students of public, private, charter, and home schools in grades K-12 from 11 counties whose science fair projects were selected for advancement to the regional science fair (http://sciencefair.tamucc.edu/index.html). First, second, and third place projects in grades 6-12 are advancing to the Texas State Science and Engineering Fair in College Station, TX March 29-30, 2019.

The following Ray High School Students will be advancing to state:

In the category of Behavioral and Social Science, Roopa L Bindingnavele won 3rd place for her entry, “Taste Test.”

Justine Uy Jazul and Evan B. Mintz won 1st place for their Cellular and Molecular Biology entry, “Gimme Some Sugar.”

Anahita Shadaab Farishta and Sebastian Garza also garnered a 1st place for their entry, “In Our Fuelin’s” in the category for Physical Energy.

Finally, in the Plant Sciences category, Melody Marie Garza earned a 1st place for her entry, “Soil Science.”
