On February 8th and 9th, 2019, all CCISD high schools took part in Solo and Ensemble Regionals at TAMU-Kingsville. Ray High School had three students, Shiyeon Kim, Catherine Kim, and Rachel Maeng, who performed an ensemble. In addition, Shiyeon and Rachel performed solos.

The ensemble received a First Division and advances to State! Shiyeon Kim also received a ‘First Division’ on her solo and advances to State. On Saturday, many other Ray Band and Orchestra students performed their amazing ensembles and solos and did an absolutely great job by receiving many first divisions and advancing to State, which will be on June 3, 2019. Even the guitar students advanced to State for their well-put performances on solos and ensembles.

Ray High School really shone this weekend and we hope that everyone will do amazingly well at state!
