The King Speech and Debate Tournament on November 17th ended with three more qualifications for state competition! Congrats to Kevin Craig and Carlos Carroll for qualifying in DX, and to Zoe Robinson for qualifying in DI. As of right now, there are eight members of the team eligible for state competition, with ten qualifications. The results for the tournament are as follows:

Sunnie Harkness: Congressional Speaking, 5th place; Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, 6th place

Kevin Craig: Congressional Speaking, 8th place; Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, 4th place

Carlos Carroll: Congressional Speaking, 7th place; Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, 3rd place

Seja Haque: Lincoln-Douglas Debate Semi-Finalist

Zoe Robinson: Senior Prose, 4th place; Dramatic Interpretation, 3rd place

Yasmeen Hamad: Senior Poetry, 4th place

Raina Pineda: Novice Poetry, 5th place

Natalie Palacios: Dramatic Interpretation, 2nd place
