Second Place Sweepstakes at McAllen Speech & Debate Tournament!

On December 15, the Ray Speech and Debate Team competed at McAllen High. This tournament resulted in three more state qualifications! Congratulations to Genevieve Cox and Ian Mintz for qualifying in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, and congratulations to Natalie Palacios for qualifying in Dramatic Interpretation. The results are as follows:

Genevieve Cox: Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, 1st place; Congressional Debate, 1st place

Ian Mintz: Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, 2nd place.

Kevin Craig: Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, 3rd place; Congressional Debate, 5th place

Aamil Farishta: Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, 6th place

Laura Li: Novice Extemporaneous Speaking, 1st place.

Vanessa Zambrano & Ben Anderson: Duo Interpretation, 4th place
