Stuco Lends a Helping Hand at Arts Alive Festival

Shiyeon Kim, Managing Editor

On September 1, 2018, the W.B. Ray High School Student Council participated in the Arts Alive Festival at the Corpus Christi Art Center downtown where everything was art-oriented. There were arts and crafts, fun games, available art to be bought, food, music, and so much fun! Many of the student council members were outside helping with the different arts and crafts activities for kids to do. Sophomores Shiyeon Kim helped out with the flower bracelets, Marc Armena helped with the mandalas, and Courtney Rabara helped out with balloon art. It was exciting to see the smiles and laughter on the children’s faces as art brought them joy. It allowed kids to use their creativity and express whatever they felt like. Ray High School’s help with volunteering was greatly appreciated.  There are many more upcoming events for the Ray Student Council to participate in!
